In the course of designing and building over 60 websites, I’ve found the experience to be incredibly fulfilling on multiple levels. From a creative standpoint, each project served as a canvas for me to express my design skills, experimenting with various elements such as color schemes, layouts, and typography.
Building a website for a business is an interesting dynamic. On one hand, you want to do everything you can to make the coolest thing possible. But, on the other, you don’t want to go overboard and risk hurting what could be a huge opportunity for this business. Learning to find a happy medium was paramount in the early days of my job.
Today, I am extremely lucky to have met everyone along this journey. Their excitement and feedback have allowed me to hone my creative thoughts and ideas to make me something special and unique.
Feedback is so incredibly important. I am no expert and I cannot pretend like I am. I have learned that even though there are trends you can follow in web design, it is not an exact science. Keeping my mind open to new ideas is why I have so much fun doing what I do.
In my future endeavors, I hope to be able to work on a team that is not only as passionate as me but easy to communicate with.
